Juiced Bikes was founded in 2009 by Tora Harris in San Diego, California, but back then, it went by the name Juiced Riders. It was founded mainly to function as a manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries. However, in less than a year, the company already started creating its full-spec models.
As a few years went by, the company began to focus on city and commuter e-bikes. Around 2014, the brand officially adopted the name “Juiced Bikes”, having become a full-fledged e-bike manufacturing by then.

Given the owner’s background in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering, it’s not a surprise that he’s hands-on with the designing and manufacturing of every model.
The brand also sticks to a direct-to-consumer sale policy, allowing it to keep its models’ prices down while not compromising quality. For this, it has since attracted a substantial following, which is simultaneously growing along with its remarkable catalog.
Juiced e-Bikes Review: Model Lines
Juiced E-Bike Line | E-bike Type |
Scorpion | Commuter, City, Cargo, Fat |
Scrambler | Road, City, Fat |
CrossCurrent | Commuter |
RipCurrent | Commuter, Hybrid, Fat |
RipRacer | Cruiser, Fat tire |
Juiced Bikes currently has 4 distinct e-bike lines all of which could either fall under the city, road or commuter category. Each one has its own one or more variations. Three out of the four lines at present incorporate fat tires.
There is a clear focus on budget-friendliness, while still managing to integrate powerful motors that abound in speed and vastly superior batteries with above-average riding ranges. It’s also known for having high-torque motors, averaging 80 Nm in all its models. All this while beating the prices of high-end and low-end e-bike models.

In fact, more than one Juiced Bikes model has been dubbed as a bike/motor hybrid. Since what practically catapulted it to success is essentially a moped, you can’t really blame reviewers for comparing some of its models to motorcycles.
This route they take serves to make them unique, as they can satisfy the average e-bike rider’s demand for more power and range while not hurting their wallets.
Juiced Scorpion e-bike model line
We were referring to the Scorpion when we were talking about the city electric moped that was undoubtedly responsible for putting Juiced Bikes on the map.
Currently, it has two subvariations, namely the HyperScorpion (which remains the most popular) and the recently released HyperScorpion Express (which functions as a cargo e-bike with the former’s specs).
The original Scorpion is decent enough already, considering the price. It has a 750W motor that can reach 28mph (45 km/h) and 45+ miles (70+ km) of range. Along with this comes puncture-resistant fat tires, Tektro hydraulic brakes, an advanced LCD display, fenders, powerful lights, and even racks.
It’s rare to see these kinds of features in e-bikes within the Scorpion’s price point, and for the bonafide speed demon that it already is, many find it adequate to meet their riding requirements. The relatively solid construction is equally noteworthy, as it exudes quality and durability.

On the other hand, the HyperScorpion takes those specs further. For one, it takes the power up a notch by using a 1000W motor that can achieve more than 30mph and almost doubles the riding range to 70 miles (112 km). The relatively quick acceleration has been widely praised by riders and critics alike, as it makes up for the hefty weight downside.
While the other two variations already have a rear rack, the Express version simply incorporates a larger rack, essentially making it a genuine cargo e-bike. Considering the impressive specs of the HyperScorpion, this is one well-made combination.

Juiced Scrambler e-bike model line
The Scrambler basically functions more like an off-road counterpart of the Scorpion, especially if we’re going to focus on its Camp variety.
While it’s not exactly a moped, it practically has the same specs as the standard Scorpion, like the 750W motor, 45 miles (72 km) of range, and 28mph (45 km/h) top speed. The Camp version is notably lighter, though, and has its own unique tires, much like its City counterpart.
A more juiced-up version of the Scrambler was recently released in the form of the HyperScrambler 2. The dual battery capability serves as the most striking feature of the model, as it manages to stretch the riding range to a whopping 100+ miles (160 km). It’s tied with the HyperScorpion in top speed, too, as it can reach 32mph but is just as heavy — if not heavier.

Since it’s fast, it’s only right for the brand to fit it with hydraulic disc brakes. The same puncture-resistant fat tires are used. Juiced Bikes even throws in an alarm system, kickstand, two rear-view mirrors, and an LED headlight — all of which are more or less useful in an e-bike this dynamic and high-powered and that you can regularly use in off-trail excursions.

Juiced CrossCurrent e-bike model line
Presently, the CrossCurrent line has the CrossCurrent S2 and CrossCurrent X in its lineup.
The former is the current incarnation of the widely-praised CrossCurrent S. The CrossCurrent is the only line in the Juiced Bikes catalog that doesn’t incorporate fat tires. At best, the S2 adheres to the formidable speed, and power Juiced Bikes is known for, as it can accelerate relatively faster than most models it is pitted against.
The responsive sporty design makes it amenable to better handling. But unlike most commuter e-bikes, it sacrifices a bit of comfort to achieve a zippy 28mph overall ride every time (thanks to the 750W motor) — perfect for anyone who needs to beat the morning rush every day. Still, its overall riding experience outshines plenty of commuter e-bikes in the market.

It’s also hard to ignore the fact that this model can guarantee 10 more miles (16 km) of range with a total of 65 miles (105 km). CrossCurrent X technically boosts these specs even further, as evidenced by the more than 80 miles (130 km) of range you can expect from it. And you also enjoy the fenders, LED lights, and fenders already fitted in previous models.
The CrossCurrent is all about being lightning-fast commuting, in short, which has pretty much characterized Juiced Bikes for years now. It’s also one of the lighter models in the Juiced Bikes lineup, topping at 60 pounds (27 kg).

Juiced RipCurrent e-bike model line
The RipCurrent line presents itself as the “ultimate fat-tire e-bike”, which should readily give you an inkling about the kinds of terrain it can handle.
Incidentally, the RipCurrent S, which is its sole variant, actually occupies a higher pedestal than the original RipCurrent since you get more range from the former, and the price difference between the two is fairly narrow.
The RipCurrent S incorporates a rear rack and fenders as well, essentially making it the more complete of the two. The 80 Nm of torque from the 750W motor just fits perfectly with the overall functionality and design of the model and lends itself to the comfortable and almost effortless ride you can expect from the RipCurrent line.
Obviously, the more than 70 miles (112 km) of range it guarantees isn’t something to laugh at. With how it’s built, it’s apparent that it’s an e-bike that you won’t hesitate to take literally anywhere, whether you’re adventuring in the mountains, commuting to your favorite cafe, or going for a leisurely trip to your local beach or park.

The class two RipRacer can go up to 20 mph (32 km/h) and has a range of 35 miles (55 km) after one charge. The class three RipRacer can go up to 28 mph (45 km/h) and has a range of 55 miles (90 km).
Both models have a 52-volt battery and a 750w hub motor. Users say the process of setting up their e-bike and learning how to use it was smooth and simple. This fun-sized bike is great for joy rides on tough terrain or the road.
