Founded in 2006, QWIC bikes was developed by a passionate duo in Amsterdam to combat the reliance on cars to get around the City. After a cycling tour from Beirut to Beijing, Taco Anema and Michiel Hartman were inspired to create bikes that prioritized affordability and sustainability.

Driven by a desire to reduce car traffic, especially in cities, they create bikes that are perfect for urban riders, looking for alternative commutes and a car-free future. They are well established in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, and with stockists now in the UK, they are expanding quickly and offering more cyclists an easy commuting alternative.

As leaders in electric bike design, QWIC bikes are both practical and fun to ride. Their bikes have won numerous awards across competitive categories in Europe. Of this success, Taco notes how it highlights the craftsmanship and quality of their bikes. “It shows that we are ahead of the field in the international e-bike branch.”

From best folding electric bike with their FN7 Model, to best Speed Pedelec in 2018 with the RD10s, they’re worth serious consideration when looking for an electric bike.
