Evelo is the brainchild of two brothers, Yevgeniy and Boris Mordkovich. Inspired by his desire to spend more time riding bicycles with his wife, Yevgeniy created an electric bike from scratch, which then became the prototype for the first Evelo eBike in 2011. Clearly redesigned for more, one of the most attractive features here is the automatic gear shift powered by the Enviolo Automatiq CVT system. Fitted with a quick charge that can get you 60 miles (96 km), this eBike makes good use of its modern components for a calm but powerful cruiser.
And finally, there is the Galaxy 500. This ‘middle-child of the Evelo cruiser line is perhaps one that would appeal most to the majority. Here, we see a solid 500W motor packed onto one of the widest step-through frames ever seen on an eBike.
A great unisex design which is only furthered by a superb set of features: Automatic Gear Shift, Pedal Assist & Throttle, and the Gates Carbon Drive Belt — all set to have you cruise a significant 50 miles (80 km).
