The Engwe C20 family e-bikes are folding electric bikes meant for city rides. With 20-inch wheels, the e-bikes fruitfully blend comfort with compact size. There are two versions – Engwe C20 and C20 Pro. Both these electric bikes were launched by the brand with almost similar specifications.
Table of Contents
One of the differences between the two is the capacity of the battery; the standard C20 has a 10Ah battery capacity, while the Pro has a 119.2Ah battery. The other distinguishing feature between the two is the width of the wheel. C20 has a wheel width of 2.4 inches while the Pro has 3.0 inches width.
The regular C20 has a mileage promise of 150 km or 90 miles (assisted pedaling). However, considering that this parameter depends on the road conditions, the outdoor temperature, and the weight of the rider, you can still achieve above 100 km or 60 miles with this e-bike.
All in all, this is a versatile e-bike for adults, even for stronger and heavier-built people. Its compact size helps in easy day-to-day rides and also works as an advantage in storing when not in use. From unpacking to assembling, things are pretty convenient.

What is Good About Engwe C20 Folding Electric Bike?
Detachable Lithium Battery
The battery is one of the significant features of the Engwe C20. It can be taken out of the e-bike for charging and takes about 6 hours to get fully recharged. The 36V 10.4 Ah Lithium-ion battery has a top-grade design offering a mileage of up to 80 km with a single charge.

Ergonomic Make
The e-bike has a beautiful finish. The frame is made from aviation-grade aluminum alloy, making it lightweight. The e-bike weighs about 24 kg (53 pounds) but can easily carry a load of 150 kg (330 pounds). In addition, it is a foldable e-bike, helping with storage and portability.
The other good features are:
- The cabling has been kept exceptionally clean even though the cables are partially visible.
- The single spring front fork has non-locking suspensions.
- The adjustable stem comes with a locking system.
- The saddle is wide and comfortable.
- The handlebar stem also has the feature of adjustable height.
- The handles have an easy grip, a bell, and a central onboard display with battery-powered LED lighting.
- It tells you about the distance traveled, battery charge, mode, etc., and the display can be controlled using the remote control.

Versatile Triple-Mode Riding
Another exciting feature of the C20 is that it has three riding modes – Normal, Electric, and Moped. You can switch between these modes quickly, helping you get the better of the road per your needs. In addition, the e-bike’s Shimano 7-speed gear system offers additional support.
Efficient 250W Powertrain
Engwe C20 has an efficient motor placed in the rear wheel. It is a Bafang motor with 250W power. The powerful motor assists in cruising through hilly slopes that are 20° inclined.
The maximum achievable speed with the powertrain is 25 km/hr (or 15.5 mph). The throttle has a rotary feature, while the cruise control of the e-bike helps you be in control irrespective of the terrain or the speed.

The price is also a big motivation to invest in this smart-looking e-bike. It is comparatively cheaper in this niche of power-driven green mobile solutions. Overall, it is a decent e-bike to bring home that serves your purpose of driving in the neighborhood or even taking it down to the office in the same city.

What Can Be Better?
The Engwe C20‘s right handlebar has the acceleration or the ‘pure electric mode’ option. However, this is not as per E15194 standards and, therefore, should be used primarily off-road. Another weak point is that the handle assistance is active even when the e-bike is stationary. It means that you need to be extra careful when coming to a stop.
