Based in London, England, Gogobest prefers to call itself an EU bike and retail company – and true enough, it caters mostly to EU countries, the United Kingdom included. Its warehouses are located in Poland, though, and most of its actual manufacturing is done in China.

Like many bike and e-bike companies out there, it was founded mainly out of passion and shares the same commitment to providing high-quality models to the riding public, regardless of age and ability.

Gogobest as a brand is quite well established, having started in 2008. The brand does not specifically make it clear what its name stands for, but without a doubt, it immediately calls to mind a striving toward excellence, which is all the more proven by the brand’s equal commitment to innovation.

Gogobest e-Bikes Review: Model Lines

GF300Folding

Of the four models that Gogobest has created, two belong to the mountain category, one to city, and another one to folding. It’s a relatively balanced catalog, considering its actual creations are low in number.

Is Gogobest a good e-bike brand to buy? All the models are noticeably more affordable than your average e-bikes in the market. Despite that fact, though, the integrated motors and batteries are top-tier, to say the least. It’s hard to find e-bikes in the $2,000 price range sporting 1,000W to 2,000W motors and guaranteeing up to 60 miles (100 km) or more per battery charge.

All the e-bikes use fat tires as well, which lend to versatility in various terrains and better stability. Overall, the brand knows the fundamentals that it needs to shine in.

Gogobest City Model Line

The GF300 and GF750 are the two models that fall under this category. We opted to review the former in a separate section for folding e-bikes below. The GF750 is marketed as a retro e-bike, and you can immediately see this in the design.

The high price tag (the highest in the catalog, incidentally) shows itself in the 2,000W motor and 48V battery that manages up to 80km (50 miles) of riding range. Much like most Gogobest e-bikes, it can reach a top speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph), which is definitely above average.

It’s got great climbing performance, which, when coupled with the powerful motor, makes it a superb choice for riders that need to tackle varying riding conditions and terrain. Add to this the 20*4 fat tires with anti-skid and anti-vibration, and it’s pretty much one of the most versatile options you can get in the catalog if not the whole e-bike market at present.

You certainly shouldn’t have any qualms about riding it on testier terrain, although it’s confirmed to be a city option. It uses ZOOM H875 hydraulic disc brakes, which is a step above the mechanical disc brakes found in some its other models, especially when guaranteeing stability and stopping power.

The included cushion is extra soft and can accommodate an extra passenger with ease. We also love that it comes with all the necessary bells and whistles like large front lights, a kickstand, fenders, a rear rack, and a waterproof LCD display.

Gogobest Mountain Model Line

The GF700 and GF600 share plenty of components, but the former is obviously the higher-specced of the two, even though the GF600 claims for riding range of at most 110km (62 miles) as opposed to the GF700’s 70km (43 miles). Equipped with the same 1,000W motor that can also manage the 25 km/h (15.5 mph) top speed as in most Gogobest models, the two models are intricately connected.

The GF600 is the more popular of the two, though. Even so, that’s not to say that the GF700 isn’t getting its much-deserved patronage. The extra-grippy hydraulic disc brakes are good, if not necessary, condition, considering the e-bike’s sizable weight. The GF700 definitely trumps the GF600’s mechanical disc brakes.

Design-wise, both got mountain biking right, to say the least. The front fork suspension is adequate for minimizing shock and disruptions. The fat tires help to keep stability and comfort, making either one a great choice for beginners. Considering the fact that you can relegate most of the work to the dynamic motor, which is complemented by 3 different riding modes, only reinforces that.

The 45-degree climbing capacity of the GF700, the same as the GF750, is also better than the GF600, which is limited to 35 degrees. Both are soundly built mountain electric bikes, though, especially if we think about how some riders still like to enjoy mountain biking without having to tax themselves physically every time.

Gogobest Folding Model Line

The GF300 is available for bargain-basement prices but integrates a 1,000W motor. If we’re going to look at other folding options in the market, there’s not a lot that can compete with it. And that’s not to mention the battery that can give you over 100km (62 miles) of range.

You can think of the GF300 as just a folding variation of the GF600, at best. Despite being a folding option, it actually also has front suspension – much like all the Gogobest models. It’s obviously a preferred option for urban riders who don’t have a lot of storage space or need to take a more compact e-bike for the regular commute.

What Do Riders Like About Gogobest?

The brand chooses to deliver the highest possible specs while keeping its prices in the entry-level to mid-range levels. Its budget-friendly models offer plenty of versatility (and, in turn, value) to riders. It manages to do this through a smarter focus on features that really matter the most to plenty of e-bike riders.

Many praises the fact that the e-bikes perform excellently, are well-built and are comfortable to ride.
